Fashioned from the volcanic soil of Tuscany it was named for, the Vulcania terra cotta pot conducts heat and cooks wonderfully. The casseruola is the traditional Italian covered casserole. Because its sides are lower than the tegame, the casseruola is ideal for braising short ribs or roasting a chicken or a pork tenderloin. So versatile, its also perfect for baked pastas or baked bean dishes.
Vulcania has been making beautiful earthenware in Italy since 1911. Because clay pots get better and stronger with use, they have been passed down for generations in Italy and become treasured family pieces.
The largest of three sizes, this casseruola serves 8 to 10 and is available in three finishes. The traditional Terra Cotta is partially unglazed on the outside and glazed on the inside. The gorgeous, warm shade of Vulcania Brown blends with any table décor. The perfect shade of Vulcania Red adds a splash of bright color to your kitchen.

Do you need a heat diffuser?
A heat diffuser is required for electric cooktops and recommended for gas cooktops to reduce the risk of thermal shock and cracking the pot. We carry a variety if you need one. |
