14 in. Hand-painted Serving Bowl
14 in. Hand-painted Serving Bowl

This beautifully hand-painted bowl is truly one-of-a-kind. Painted by artists whose designs are inspired by nature - birds, flowers, trees - and color palettes range from neutral and understated to bright and colorful. No two are alike. This particular bowl is done with a special matte glaze technique that imparts a textured look to the design. Due to its handcrafted nature, minor imperfections add authenticity and charm, and are part of the piece.

Designed for food use, this high-fired ceramic piece is oven safe and durable. Use it to reheat or keep food warm before taking it directly to the table for serving. Gorgeous for presentation, plate your favorite salads or pastas in it, or use it simply as an everyday fruit bowl - a standout piece to be used and treasured for a lifetime.

14¾" x 3½" H (37 cm x 9 cm). Stand not included.

Features & Benefits

  • Terra cotta clay high fired at 2,000°F for strength, durability and chip resistance.
  • All our pieces are completely handmade, natural earthenware. Minor imperfections add authenticity and charm, and are part of the piece.
  • Easy to clean, hand-applied glaze.
  • Lead and cadmium free.

Use & Care

  • Oven and microwave safe.
  • Clear ceramic glaze provides ease of cleaning. For difficult areas to clean, first soak for a few minutes in water, then scrub with a soft abrasive pad.Do not use metallic scouring pads.
  • Dishwasher safe, but we recommend hand washing to give the best care to your earthenware. See our section Clay Cooking 101 for detailed explanations and effects of soaps and detergents on earthenware.
  • Earthenware does not like extreme temperature changes. For example, do not take a bowl cold from the refrigerator and place it directly in a hot oven; it may crack.
